Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning, commenting on the FBI data on the alleged laboratory origin of the coronavirus, called for an end to political manipulation of the origin of COVID-19.
“The Chinese side is categorically against any form of political manipulation under the pretext of finding the source (COVID). The involvement of intelligence services in scientific matters is in itself a politicization of the problem,” she was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
She also noted that conclusions based on falsified reports of U.S. intelligence agencies have no credibility.
Earlier, FBI Director Christopher Wray said that the agency considers the version of the laboratory origin of the coronavirus the most convincing.
