Russia’s Anastasia Potapova reached the second round of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) tournament in Austin (USA).
The 21-year-old tennis player from Saratov (the third seed) in the first round match beat American Elizabeth Mandlick in two sets 6-2, 6-0. The game lasted 53 minutes.
Potapova’s next opponent will be the mistress of the courts, Katie Volynets.
The prize fund of the tournament is over $250 000.
Earlier it was reported that Liudmila Samsonova and Potapova rose in the WTA rankings.
